veal strips in porcini mushroom sauce

Ingredients

for 4 servings:

  • 800 g veal strips

  • 50 g porcini mushrooms

  • 2 shallots

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 100 ml white wine

  • 300 ml vegetable broth

  • 160 ml cream

  • 1 teaspoon thyme

  • Salt

  • pepper

  • Flour

Preparation :

Wash the porcini mushrooms and cut into slices. Pat the veal strips dry with kitchen paper, season with pepper and coat lightly in flour. Heat rapeseed oil in a pan and sear the meat on all sides.

Finely chop the shallots and garlic and add to the minced meat with the porcini mushrooms. Deglaze with white wine and vegetable stock, then add cream and reduce until the sauce becomes creamy. Finally, season to taste with thyme, salt and pepper.

Simple rice or boiled potatoes go well with this dish.
